Patsy hangs a glossy red enamel apple, stem and all, from a fine gold-tone snake chain, with a matching apple dropping from each small hoop. The necklace sits at 16.5" / 42cm with a 2.4" / 6cm extender, and each earring drops about 1" / 26mm. Wear the two together, or let one piece brighten a plain knit.

What PVD gold actually means
PVD bonds the gold layer into the steel rather than laying it on top like electroplate or vermeil, so it doesn't rub or flake, and the steel underneath can't rust or go green.
Care instructions
PVD gold is hard-wearing, but it isn't chemically inert. Keep it away from chlorinated pools and hot tubs, bleach and household cleaners, and perfume, lotion or hairspray sprayed straight onto it — put those on first, let them dry, then put the piece on.
Water on its own is fine. It's the chemicals that do the damage.

What you're paying for
Jewelry usually reaches a shop through a distributor, a wholesaler and a buyer, and each one takes a margin on the way. The finished price is commonly eight to ten times what the piece cost to make. We sell direct, so what you pay covers the piece and getting it to you.
